I was raised in Maine in a very health concious environment with a focus on naturopathic medicine. I always had an aversion to meat as a child and ate a mostly vegetarian diet. As I started my own family, my desire to feed my children and husband the healthiest foods possible grew. The more I researched the more aware I became of the abuses cows suffer in the dairy industry. I also learned that the need for dairy is overrated and many people are actually intolerant. Fast forward to the birth of my fourth child who was born allergic to milk and eggs and there was no turning back from my journey in full-time veganism.
